ARTIST NOTE
Fulfilling of the Self
The work process subjected to modern people began with the foundation of those people’s life segment showing the happiness or sadness felt throughout life. During this process I have attempted both emptying and the filling of the mind. As such I have come to a realization that as I emptied there remained an unexplainable void and filling only made life even more complicated for the modern people.
There is no limit to a human desire, as such, a continued feelings of void is present even after relentlessly trying to ‘fill’ one self.
So the question remains, “How shall one live?”
What is the true meaning of life?
The modern day society consists of intensely complex structure. And those modern people within the structure live on filled with agony and solitude. As to truly fulfill you must first learn to empty.
A true success in one’s life does not lie in worldly possessions, yet in seeking and conducting happiness. Without an open mind it is impossible to accept. It can be stated that it is not about emptying to fill, but rather the process of emptying itself will cause to fill. The process of emptying starts with the sound realization that there will be more wanting even when you have more.
Thus far, the subject of ‘Emptying and Fulfilling’ describes best of my work and within it also tells yet another story. These words not only adequately describe my work, it may also be telling a story of a life I have not had a chance to experience due to not having chosen such a way. However, as I unravel, an agonizing realization comes as a conclusion that it is not different from my present self.
